New World Plants (located in Mid West England, Nr. Hereford) Has a great deal of experience in the marketing and promotion of New plants not only in Britain but in other parts of Europe, and around the world. As commercial growers of young plants we have plenty of experience in supplying the trade and providing winners for garden centres, multiple chain stores and top end mail order distributors.

We source new plants from all around the world, using well-known breeders and professional nurserymen, as well as “chance discoveries in the amateur field”. In addition we have our own trials and research facilities where we make our own selections.

Within the UK we offer a professional service to contract grow young plants for your nursery based on a price linked to the volume and size of module preferred. For the rest of Europe we export young plant material or have it contract grown in the Netherlands and delivered to your door! Elsewhere in the World we either export young plant material to grow on or as we prefer, grant licensees for ‘In house propagation.’

For each new variety and it’s intended market, the plant specification differs and our modules of young plants are ‘tailor made’ accordingly. Depending on the plant variety we offer a range of sizes from Stage 3 tissue culture or ‘plugs’, to liners ranging from 7-9cm pots. We propagate our plants from seeds, cuttings and from micro propagation using different laboratories, where our new plant material is cleaned and commercially introduced. We aim to produce your order to a week number, and quotes vary according to volume and size of module, and if the variety has a royalty payable.

We have many years of experience in knowing what the “gardening market” wants but realise also this is constantly changing according to modern tastes and trends. We spend a huge deal of time travelling all over the world looking at other “trial grounds” and commercial tests, and make our own selections according to how we perceive the future needs in the markets we supply. We then test these in our own research and development dept. and make further garden trials to test for performance, garden worthiness and hardiness etc. The final part is in getting these plants propagated and grown correctly in containers, so we can pass on this valuable information to you our valued customer.

New World Plants has an added strength to offer it’s customers, and that is in creating top end promotional material for assisting successful plant launches. One of the advantages of travelling around the world is also in keeping abreast with what other people are doing. NWP works with designers of reputable companies for the creation of POS material, and can offer this service on a consultancy basis, using pictures from it’s own extensive library.
